On the Horizon: These are the projects that I’m currently working on

  1. Jon Everett and the Hall of History: This story (series?) is in the final stages before publication. Jon Everett and the Hall of History follows Jon Everett, a 9th grade basketball player who is failing history before he ends up going back in time to the French Indian War. While there, he is able to spend time with George Washington culminating in the Battle of Monongahela. Through his time in the 1750’s, Jon learns that history–and especially George Washington–has a lot to teach him about life and even basketball. You can read the first chapter in the Sneak Peaks. (Update: Published November 12, 2025)
  2. I Teach for Free Entertainment: Tales from the Junior High Hallway: For years, I’ve been posting the hilarious conversations I’ve had with my students. This is a selection of those conversations. For this one, I still have to organize, make a decision on internal illustrations (You can weigh in with comments), cover, etc. So, this one will be in the works a bit longer. Stay tuned.
  3. Destiny: Unknown (working title): This only has 2 chapters completed, so a long way off. But, a fun project about a boy who was attacked at birth, smuggled away, and grows up not knowing who he is. We’ll see how it develops (I tend to start with a seed and see how it grows.)
  4. Jon Everett and (We’ll see): My plan for Jon Everett was always to be a series. This one will be set in the American Revolution, but I haven’t decided which event(s) I want to focus on (Only one chapter done so far). You can weigh in your opinions in comments.
